Wooltex are an expanding, family owned, textile company producing market leading fabrics for the global interiors market. Our mill is based in Longwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and incorporates state of the art manufacturing and lean production.

Our apprenticeships

Apprenticeship format

Wooltex UK are now looking to recruit a number of Apprentices to join our expanding organisation. The apprenticeships will be in a range of different areas across the business which are likely to include Weaving, Finishing, Mending/Inspection, Sampling, Business Administration and Technical.

During your apprenticeship you will learn a variety of skills tailored to fit the role you choose. You will be mentored in the workplace and learn job specific skills from experienced experts, already employed with Wooltex UK. You will undertake apprenticeship training from Level 2 or 3 and beyond, if you have the desire to succeed. This may involve you going out to a training provider or being visited by them in the workplace. You will be allowed time to complete your training, whilst still being paid. You may also access other industry training alongside your apprenticeship if appropriate.

Wage
Age Rate £3.87 at age 16, rising to £5.30 at 18
Working week
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours
Qualifications required
No experience required as full training will be provided.Min GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.
The training
Depending on the apprenticeship you choose, you will study a Level 2 or 3 qualification.
